Hidden Lake is one of those three small parks within Harpeth River State Park, and it's easily my favorite of the three park areas. We did the Hidden Lake Trail and the Ridge Loop Trail. The hidden lake at the heart of the Hidden Lake area is really pretty and well worth checking out. The Hidden Lake area also has the remains of a 1940s resort.

The Hidden Lake Double Loop is a 1.9-mile easy loop that takes hikers through some of the lushest and beautiful forested areas in the park. Hidden Lake was a railroad quarry opened about 1840 to construct the railroad bed from Nashville to the Tennessee River. Some stone was also used for Tennessee Highway # 1.
